Ane-gyaru style guide

Ane-gyaru

Ane-gyaru often seems like a mix between Rokku and Tsuyome clothing, but with a different approach, especially when it comes to hair and makeup. Many people describe it as "Onee-gyaru's bad sister", but I often find it's more of a mix of Yankii culture and Gyaru - taking inspiration more from grungy Western ideals in the Rock scene. Either way, it's badass and people rocking this style look like bad bitches 💖☠

Clothes & Accessories

Ane-gyaru's colour palette is a lot more diverse than the two-tone wardrobe you see with OraOra. As described above, it's over-all feel is very sexy, but alternative. Everyone kinda looks like they work in a hard rock bar (lol) you'll see a lot of leopard and skull prints, khaki and sometimes camo too, as well as ripped items and tank tops with crossed straps for layering under loose jumpers etc. Showing skin to showcase your tattoos & piercings is encouraged, too!
I will list some staples below, but it's much better to try and find some Soul Sister scans and see yourself:
